Want inspiration? You can read an inspiring story on the Inspiration page – all about a Lower Hutt woman who ‘started up’ last year and finished the year running a marathon, overseas.
Check out the training schedule you can download from the Training page. This was set up by Steve Willis originally for Run for Relief. Steve’s six-week programme is simple to follow – you can keep meeting the challenges through the summer. There are also exercise tips from Ragini from Rags2Fitness.

2016 is our eighth Start Me Up. We began way back in 2008 (a break in 2012)! Many women have been Starting Themselves Up every year … perhaps cycling faster, further or walking or running quicker or for longer … but enjoying the company of other women during a non-competitive, fun, affordable, encouraging and motivating afternoon.
